Jordana Cosmetics recently launched the new Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation. The new foundation line promises to cover dark spots, imperfections, dark circles, and give the appearance of a more even skin tone. It also promises to be long-wearing, water resistant, gives flexible coverage from full to maximum and is oil-free. I gave it a whirl.

So it comes in 12 shades which I think is impressive for makeup at this price point (because you know how some brands will have like three different shades of beige only). On my end of the spectrum I do think there’s a pretty big gap between shades 11 and 12. Shade 11 was too light for me and 12 was too dark so I had to mix the two together (you can see which shades I wear in different brands here).
(Note: there was a mistake in packaging so I don’t have shade 5 Creamy Natural)
01 Fair Beige: light beige with yellow undertones
02 Classic Beige: light beige with neutral undertones
03 Golden Beige: beige with yellow undertones
04 Natural Beige: beige with neutral undertones
05 Creamy Natural (I don’t have this shade)
06 Honey Olive: light olive
07 Neutral Olive: medium beige with neutral undertones
08 Golden Olive: deeper olive with neutral undertones (though olive typically signifies neutral anyway)
09 Golden Caramel: light brown with yellow undertones
10 Toffee: light brown with neutral undertones
11 Golden Toffee: light milk chocolate brown with golden/yellow undertones
12 Mahogany: dark brown with neutral undertones
02 Classic Beige: light beige with neutral undertones
03 Golden Beige: beige with yellow undertones
04 Natural Beige: beige with neutral undertones
05 Creamy Natural (I don’t have this shade)
06 Honey Olive: light olive
07 Neutral Olive: medium beige with neutral undertones
08 Golden Olive: deeper olive with neutral undertones (though olive typically signifies neutral anyway)
09 Golden Caramel: light brown with yellow undertones
10 Toffee: light brown with neutral undertones
11 Golden Toffee: light milk chocolate brown with golden/yellow undertones
12 Mahogany: dark brown with neutral undertones
Coverage on this is definitely full—but you can control it by either layering if you need a little more or sheering it out if you need less (you can sheer it out by using a smaller amount and something like a beautyblender to apply). I also used shade 10 Toffee to highlight and then Cover FX N120 to contour.
Though it photographs great, in person I didn’t love the finish on me which in my case has to do with having to mix two shades and not really getting a great undertone match (in other words, you can have a great foundation on but if the undertones are off it can make you look kinda dull).
Wear was okay though after about 7-8 hours, I could notice some fading. I have oily skin and it held up pretty well on that end—no excessive oiliness but it is winter here and my skin isn’t as oily as it would be in summer.
Bottom line: Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer + Foundation is okay—not my favorite at all but it certainly isn’t bad. I’d say if you have an exact match in one of the 12 shades, on a serious budget, and you live in a town where options are limited, then go for it. But I’ve tried so many foundations that I know there’s so much better out there even in the drugstore category.
